Winter Riding Challenges

Cold weather makes oil thicker, harder to pump, and slower to protect. Synthetic oils flow better in cold temps than conventional oils.

Cold Weather Tips

  • ✅ Use 10W-40 or 10W-50 (better cold flow than thicker oils)
  • ✅ Warm up engine 3-5 minutes before riding
  • ✅ Ride gently for first 10 minutes
  • ✅ Store bike in heated/garage space if possible
  • ✅ Use fuel stabilizer if storing

💡 Winter Storage

Change oil BEFORE storage, not after. Used oil contains acids that can damage engine during storage. Add fuel stabilizer and run engine 5 minutes.
